In the 1900's, The Niles Company Inc. developed the excellent reputation as the property management firm of choice in Boston and surrounding suburbs by acquiring and managing residential real estate. The company expanded during the Great Depression by managing properties for banks and other owners who were suffering with financial problems. In the 1940s and 1950s, The Niles Company continued to grow as many banks turned to the company for real estate expertise. The 1970s and 1980s brought high interest rates and the conversion boom of apartments into condominiums. This volatile time period also marked the beginning of the transformation of Niles into a full-service real estate company with the arrival of C. Jerry Ragosa as Executive Vice President and Co-Owner. Moving into the 1990s, Mr Ragosa broadened the services offered by The Niles Company and ushered in a period of impressive growth. Today, The Niles Company is recognized as a full-service real estate company throughout Greater Boston.
The leadership that inspired Mr Ragosa to expand the services offered by The Niles Company in 1984 continues to drive the firm today. The Niles Management team consists of a group of trained multi disciplinary professionals dedicated to meeting the daily needs of our clients and the challenges of the future.
The Niles Company is well represented in all of the local and national real estate trade organizations. Along with several memberships, affiliations, and designations, The Niles Company has been designated as an Accredited Management Organization (AMO)® by The National Association of Realtors.
The Niles Company embraces a proactive style of management. Our management philosophy is to maximize asset value by controlling costs and creating an environment of high market reputation.
